SEJA attended the preview screening of Fanboys the movie at Vivocity’s GV Europa on the 18th of March, 2009.

Organized by the fine folks from www.starwars.sg, it was a very informal and cozy outing: An opportunity for the fanboys and girls (both old and new) to discuss the movie and interact with other members from the Star Wars community.

There were many laughs during the dialogue session, with Leonard, the host, leading the audience in quizzes and introducing us all to Singapore’s very own life-sized R2-D2 project, which will hopefully be completed by August, in time for the Singapore Toy And Comic Convention.

With our history steeped in Star Wars fandom, SEJA greatly enjoyed the screening, and even gave an impromptu performance after the show!

Also on-site were the troopers from the 501st Legion’s Singapore Garrison, and they certainly impressed with their screen-accurate armors. There was even a photo op with them after the dialogue session.
